Some initial ideas and suggestions are provided within this guide to get you started, but of course, you are encouraged to develop programs that most suit your particular centre. Be creative and take this opportunity to really make it work for your children, the families and the local community of which you are a part. You may also wish to adapt some of your regular early learning activities so as to emphasise more strongly the Australian Child Care Week themes.

It may prove beneficial to brainstorm ideas amongst your team, keeping in mind that your aim is to create a series of activities that will showcase the quality of your services. The activities should demonstrate, to the families and the local community, the invaluable benefit the children receive from being at your centre.
